Amanda Brier was born in Falmouth in 1978. She studied Art and Design from 1994. In 1997 she attended the Falmouth College of Art for three years graduating with a degree in Studio Ceramics. During this time she gained experience at Poole and Dartington potteries.

Amanda then went to work at the Leach Pottery where she worked for five years.

She now has her own studio in Falmouth.
